First Impressions
A fast listen-to and a short paragraph - more to follow in time

Chaz DePaolo - Resolution Blues - One of the best with the electric guitar, Chaz DePaolo goes acoustic and old school, all songs recorded in "true blues" style:  one sitting, live with no overdubs ... all songs are original, and while Chaz doesn't have the best voice, his gravelly sound works well here, and his "side comments" are a reflection of just how well he knows blues history ... good stuff here, mellow and tasty

Johnny O - One - an absolutely remarkable collection of songs from John Ohnmacht, and not only does he write the songs, he plays every instrument used ... very reminiscent of Pat Metheny, the music is sometimes mellow with a jazz feel, and oftentimes soaring, not blues at all but who cares, right?  This is simply VERY good music from an incredibly talented artist who deserves to be more widely known ... One is a masterpiece

Brad Wilson - Blues Thunder
- From sunny Southern California comes a new gunslinger:  Brad Wilson, and while he might resemble "blast from the past" Beach Boy Brian Wilson, make no mistake that Brad Wilson is original.  Blues, jazz, soul and rock are evident throughout the CD, as is Wilson's talent, not only as guitarist but also songwriter.  A thoroughly enjoyable listen, Blues Thunder will make the listener want to hear more from this incredibly talented young man.
